Spartanburg, SC
You’ve seen Harrison’s-backed cars on racetracks at every level of motorsports. You’ve seen us at Xfinity races on Saturdays, you’ve seen us at NASCAR Cup Series events on Sundays, and if you’ve been around local racing for any length of time, you’ve most certainly seen us at any number of tracks across the Carolinas and beyond.

Now, you’ll see us getting back to our roots. We’re thrilled to be supporting longtime Xfinity Series driver Jeremy Clements in the No. 51 Chevrolet.
“Harrison’s and the Clements go way back,” Jeremy said. “It’s pretty cool to keep it going. Danny and the family helped us in the ARCA days, back in the early 2000s. We go back a good ways."
We do indeed. Way back to the origins of Clements Racing.
“Well, it goes back to when Crawford (Clements) was still living,” our founder, Danny Harrison said. “We were dirt racing, I’d say probably 1982 is when we first did some stuff together. They’d do some engine work for us. We’d use their shop if we were setting a car up or something before we’d go to Cherokee to run. It just started then, and we’ve done some things off and on over the years.”

That history is something Kevin Harrison remembers well. He grew up playing with the Clements boys at the racetrack, has watched Jeremy’s career progress, and sees the partnership as a natural fit.
“Every kind of racing you can imagine, we’ve done,” he said. “Dirt, Asphalt, the Xfinity Series, the Cup Series. We’ve sponsored the highest levels, and we’ve been at the grassroots level. We just wanted to be able to put our dollars toward something that’s local. When we were having these conversations it made sense to me and my dad to be able to invest dollars in supporting a local driver that’s able to represent not only Clements Racing but Spartanburg and the Upstate of South Carolina as a whole.
Jeremy goes back a pretty good ways himself, with a ton of history on the track.
“I’ve been driving since I was seven years old,” he said. “It’s literally all I’ve ever done. I’ve been very blessed to be able to drive some kind of racing vehicle to earn a living.
I’ve been full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity season since 2011, and now it’s 2025. I’m super excited to get it going and work with Harrison’s which is really a long-time friend of my family.”
Danny Harrison’s longstanding support of local drivers and racing at all levels is something that gets Jeremy even more excited about the partnership.
“Danny loves racing, he’s passionate about it, and he wants to run up front,” Jeremy said. “He’s always asking what we need to go faster. You’ve got to love that. Working together, that’s all you want. What do we need to go fast, and how do we achieve it.”

Harrison’s is one of several Spartanburg-based sponsors that will adorn the No. 51 throughout the season. As a small, independent, locally-owned team, Jeremy Clements Racing is a dinosaur of sorts, a holdout in what once was a hotbed of racing.
“Spartanburg is rich in racing history, and I’m pretty sure we might be the only ones left in NASCAR in this area doing it,” Jeremy said. “We just want to make the city proud. Everybody here, our fans, our family, just make everybody proud that we’re still racing and being competitive, and hopefully this year we can win some more races. That would be phenomenal.”
Clements doesn’t take for granted his spot in Spartanburg racing lore along some names that help form the bedrock of the sport.
“It’s super special for sure,” he said. “I grew up watching a lot of those guys and hearing stories about them and meeting them growing up. They’re my heroes.”
Danny knew all of those names, too.
“When I was growing up, six or seven years old, I can remember going by the shops of 20 or 25 drivers that were in Spartanburg,” he said. “My daddy would show me who so-and-so was. Buck Baker, I always thought it was a big deal to ride by their place over by Spartan High and all the trophies be in the window. They were all here. Most all of them came through Spartanburg, if they turned into any kind of driver at all.”
That’s part of why having local sponsorship is so important to Clements. Not only does the support make competing easier, it makes it a little more fun.
“It makes it more enjoyable as well,” Jeremy said. “Of course, he wants to see Harrison’s going around that track, but he wants it to run up front. He wants to know what can he do on his end to make that happen. That’s what we need. We need help to get these No. 51 Chevys on the track with Harrison’s on them to go fast. Without Danny and Kevin and everybody backing us, we couldn’t do it. It’s super-important for them to help us, and we’re just thrilled to death to work with them.”
Kevin agrees.
“We believe in Clements, and we believe in that family,” he said. “They’re family-owned, just like we are, and in our mind, it was just the perfect match to be able to really put some of our advertising dollars and sponsorship dollars toward Clements.”
