A One-Stop Shop: Harrison's Embroidery Services

You’ve seen sharp, stitched logos on any number of products, including on some of Harrison’s longstanding workwear and public safety account.

As National Embroidery Month comes to a close, we wanted to take a look at what our ability to offer in-house embroidery services means to our customers, and to our business.

“What embroidery does is it sets you apart,” Kevin Harrison said. “It identifies who you are. For us, so many of our B2B customers, some of our public safety customers and others, they all wanted embroidery. Well, we’d been outsourcing that for a long time. The wait times and other things, we just couldn’t service our customers up to the Harrison’s standard.”

So an investment in equipment and personnel was an easy decision.

“We brought embroidery in-house,” Kevin said. “In fact, we just purchased some more embroidery machines to expand that operation, and it just enables us to service our customers better and provide another service to them so they may not just get a sweatshirt or a jacket or a t-shirt or whatever that might be. We can also put their company logo on it.”

Offering professional embroidery service at a price that’s often lower than an outside agency is just part of what makes the service attractive.

“It’s very professional,” Kevin said. “It makes you stand out. That’s something we believe really helps. Whether it be HVAC companies, plumbers, public safety, fire departments, those kind of things, we’re able to provide that professional level of service, so we’re a one-stop shop. They’re not having to buy a shirt here, go to an embroidery somewhere else, we’re able to do all those things for them. It’s a crucial part of our business. Not only embroidery, but screen printing and alterations, those things go right along with us being able to take care of the whole process in one place and make that so much simpler and cheaper for our customers.”

It’s a big difference in our own business, too. Just ask senior account manager Jess Blackwell.

“Offering our in-house embroidery helps us service our accounts more efficiently because they can get everything in one place, which makes the process smoother for them, and smoother for us,” she said.
